2. By Car: Penang is connected to mainland Malaysia by two bridges, the Penang Bridge and the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge. If you are driving from Kuala Lumpur, it will take around 4-5 hours to reach Penang via the North-South Expressway.

3. By Train: While there is no direct train to Penang, you can take a train to Butterworth, which is located on the mainland across from Penang Island. From there, you can take a ferry or drive across the bridge to reach Penang.

4. By Bus: Several bus operators offer services to Penang from various cities in Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, and Singapore. The buses usually stop at the Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal in Penang.

Once you arrive in Penang, you can explore the state using public transportation, taxis, or by renting a car or motorcycle. E-hailing services are also a great option for those who want to explore Penang’s attractions at their own pace. You can hire a driver for the day or for a few hours, allowing you to visit the sights without worrying about navigating public transportation or finding a parking spot. The island is relatively small and easy to navigate, making it a great destination for travelers looking to explore Malaysia’s rich culture, history, and natural beauty.
